Adult Education & Noncredit
PURPOSE
To increase awareness of adult education and noncredit programs at institutions and for students, ensure curriculum and instruction incorporates skills that align with industry needs, ensure students have access to training programs and career pathways with multiple entry and exit points, and examine equitable learning across student populations.

- Strong, collaborative, and integrated working relationships across K-14 CE pathways focused on regional Strong Workforce goals and priority sectors
- Equity in regional Career Education pathway students’ success with inclusive wrap-around K-14 transition supports
- Adaptable career pathways that meet regional priority workforce demands
- Broad awareness and understanding of regional career pathways from middle school and high school, adult education, and community college
- Accessible high-quality Career Education pathways to high-wage, high-demand occupations that include career exploration, work-based learning, and pathway accelerators for all students

- Continue horizontal alignment until all Occupational Training Programs (OTPs) are complete
- Follow with vertical alignment between Adult Education/Noncredit and credit community college courses and programs
- Promote sharing of best practices in alignment and transition

Horizontal and Vertical Alignment
- Continue horizontal alignment until all OTPs have been completed
- Begin vertical alignment work between AE/NC and credit community college programs
