The San Diego Imperial Counties Community Colleges Regional Consortium for Workforce Development serves as the regional framework to connect industry sector employers, community college career technical program providers, and students with current and easily accessible information, and to respond as a central point of contact. The Consortium facilitates alignment of the ten colleges in the region with the workforce needs of the ten priority and emergent sectors and encourages high level industry-education partnerships.

The objectives of the San Diego & Imperial Center of Excellence (COE) are to build community college capacity to close systemic equity gaps; unify our regional workforce ecosystem; and advocate for equitable changes to policies, processes, and practices in education and economic/workforce development.
Our mission is to help key stakeholders understand regional employers’ workforce needs and our diverse students’ lived experiences.
To this end, we use research to advocate on behalf of students’ and employers’ needs.
