Learning While Earning: The New Normal

In this report, the authors examine the students who are combining work with ongoing learning. Implications suggest 1) working learners need stronger ties between the world of work and the work of eduction 2) to improve the connections between work and learning funding for postsecondary education should be based in part on performance measured by labor market outcomes 3) policymakers need to invest in programs that teach skills with labor market value.
