The San Diego and Imperial community colleges are underway implementing career development strategies so that students experience career everywhere. Informed by interviews with career services at the 10 community colleges, this practice brief describes the emerging and promising practices at the colleges, the barriers faced at the colleges, and calls to action to improve the success of career development as an equity-centered approach that ensures disproportionately impacted students equal access to career opportunities throughout their student journey. The resource also includes an annotated bibliography of equity-centered career development practices.
